Your First Transaction

A step-by-step walkthrough of creating your first export transaction

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • At least one trading partner in the system
  • At least one product with proper classification
  • The "Create Transaction" permission

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Start New Transaction

Navigate to Transactions and click the New Transaction button in the top right corner.

2

Select Customer

Use the search dropdown to find and select your trading partner. You'll see their screening status displayed. If there are any active matches, review them before proceeding.

3

Add Products

Click Add Line Item and select products from your catalog. Enter the quantity and unit price. Each product's USML category or ECCN will be shown.

4

Enter Shipping Details

Specify the shipping address and final destination country. The system will check for embargoed destinations and country-specific restrictions.

5

Review Compliance Checks

The compliance panel shows automated checks: denied party screening, country restrictions, license requirements, and risk score. Address any red flags before submitting.

6

Submit for Approval

Click Submit to route the transaction to the appropriate approvers based on your organization's workflow. You'll receive a notification when it's approved.

Common Issues

Transaction Blocked

If a transaction is automatically blocked, check the compliance panel for the reason. Common causes: embargoed country, denied party match, or missing license.

High Risk Score

High-risk transactions require additional approval levels. Consider adding supporting documentation or end-use statements.
